Season two 
uring the summer of 2001, ‘Big Brother’ returned with second season. It premiered from July 5, 2001 to September 20, 2001. Second season marked several changes in the format and rules of the competition. During ‘Big Brother 2?, 12 contestants appeared and HOH was given a separate bedroom and also the right to select two houseguests for eviction. The Ultimate winner of the show was determined by a vote of ousted houseguests, rather than public votes. Food competitions were also introduced this season in order to make it more interesting. All houseguests tried hard to win and losers were given a little punishment. With this season, CBS brought in a paid user system and ended the free Internet feeds.
